Patient Advocacy Group Reports Maryland Survey on Health Concerns

For the many Americans who suffer from chronic disease, affordable and comprehensive health insurance coverage is critical. Yet a new study by the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease (PFCD) finds that more than half of Marylanders think that health insurance is on the wrong track. PFCD Chairman Dr. Kenneth Thorpe and Jessica Honke of the National Alliance on Mental Illness describe the biggest problems in insurance coverage and the importance of consistent access to medication for those who suffer from chronic disease.
