May 18 // Annapolis alderman accuses city of reversing course on Eastport Landing

Alderman Ross Arnett angrily accused city officials Wednesday of reversing a decision to reject The Lofts at Eastport Landing, a controversial project that promised to bring more than 125 new apartments to the city. After the city canceled an Annapolis Planning Commission work session scheduled for Monday on the controversial project, Arnett emailed constituents telling them the meeting was called off because a city legal opinion conflicted with calculations on how many apartments could be included in the project. He wrote that conflict would lead to the project's rejection. (Capital)
