County looks at adding more electric buses to fleet

Frederick County’s electric transit buses have provided significant savings over the diesel buses in the fleet, according to the county transit service’s director, and the county is seeking to add more of the electric vehicles in coming years. With five electric buses that have been in service for a year, the Frederick County TransIT service has found savings of more than $50,000 per year per bus over the diesel models, TransIT Director Nancy Norris said in an email. (News-Post)
