Md. officials to discuss final phase of cleaning Chesapeake Bay next Tuesday


As Maryland prepares a final push to reach regional goals for reducing sediment, nitrogen and phosphorus in the Chesapeake Bay, state officials have scheduled five meetings across the state. Representatives from the departments of Agriculture, Environment, Natural Resources and Planning will be in western Maryland on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to give presentations on Maryland's Phase III Watershed Implementation Plan, which outlines how the state will reach the region's 2025 goals.
