Hagerstown Community College working to bulk up labor force

There are not enough skilled workers for Washington County businesses, and Hagerstown Community College President Jim Klauber is determined to help. Speaking Wednesday at a monthly Eggs and Issues breakfast hosted by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, Klauber touched on what he calls the "three vital roles" of a community college. The first role of a community college, he said, is as an education provider for all types of students, including those who intend to transfer to a four-year school, dual-credit students, adult learners and everyone in between.
