Businesses still remain hopeful for downtown hotel

With the push for a downtown hotel increasingly becoming an uphill battle, local business owners still remain positive that overnight accomodation will come. Lucie Shelton, owner of Cakes To Die For on N. Market Street, believes a hotel would bring more people downtown, therefore boosting the area’s economy. “Of course a hotel would bring hundreds, thousands more people down here that may have never been downtown,” she said.(News-Post)
