Maryland reports fourth consecutive day of more than 3,000 new coronavirus cases; another hospitalization high

Maryland reported 3,012 new coronavirus cases and 29 more deaths from the virus Monday. It was the fourth straight day that the state reported more than 3,000 new COVID-19 cases — something that’s never happened during the pandemic in Maryland. But, Monday’s total was the lowest of the past four days. And, a day after reporting a new peak in current hospitalizations from COVID-19, Maryland reported yet another increase in the number of people receiving treatment for the virus. (Balt Sun)
