Bob Morgan, GTI-Maryland advisor and former Statewide Project Coordinator of the Illinois Medical Cannabis Pilot Program, reviews Maryland’s new medical cannabis policy that is both methodized and restrictive. Applicants will face heavy scrutiny as they seek to acquire a grower, processor, dispenser, or a patient/caregiver license. In order for someone to be treated with medical cannabis, one must have a physician certified diagnosis of a severe condition – such as cancer or PTSD. There will be various, regulated avenues in which this new medicine will be distributed and administered.
