Ahead of Baltimore School for the Arts alum Tupac Shakur's induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Major Key Foundation is launching a pilot program to integrate classical music and hip hop for Baltimore students. Watch the Foundation's introductory video to learn more.
In a fusion of arts and activism, Major Key has collected video testimonials from a thousand Baltimore area residents on the importance of school arts funding. Center Maryland will release one testimonial a day in the lead-up to Major Key's concert at Soundstage on April 5, featuring Tupac's former bandmate E.D.I. Mean; Major Key co-founders professional flutist Sofia Hailu and hip hop artist Czar; and The Wire's Anwan Glover and his go-go Backyard Band.
