Thank you to all of Center Maryland's readers who have bought tickets to tonight's Baltimore advance screening of Waiting for "Superman."

The event to benefit KIPP: Baltimore -- which operates one of the city's most successful middle schools -- is now sold out, with more than 600 people expected. Center Maryland has been proud to work with KIPP: Baltimore as a media sponsor of tonight's advance screening.

If you aren't able to attend tonight's screening, Center Maryland urges you to still find an opportunity to see this powerful documentary on America's public schools. Virtually every news publication in the United State has weighed in on the film in the past two weeks, and Oprah is devoting two shows to the documentary.

Want to learn more? Here's a trailer of the film.

Since Center Maryland launched at the start of this year, promoting the success of public charter schools in Maryland has been one of our priorities. Center Maryland will look for more ways to share information about this amazing film, and we’ll keep concentrating on how our state’s education system can continue to improve through the competition and innovative ideas available from charter schools.

For those of you who have already bought tickets for tonight, we look forward to seeing you there.
