Center Maryland begins a series of interviews with some of the finalists for Corridor Person of the Year. We start with David S. Cordish, chairman of one of the largest and oldest privately held development companies in the United States.

Last year Cordish personally went door-to-door in Anne Arundel County urging voters to pass the slots referendum. Voters overwhelmingly supported the measure that would allow his company to build the Maryland Live! casino at Arundel Mills Mall. The Cordish Company broke ground on the casino on January 27, 2011.

In this interview, Cordish discusses his success in Anne Arundel County, as well as the company's noteworthy accomplishments in Baltimore City over the past year.

Come join Center Maryland and Corridor Inc. for the Person of the Year reception on Thursday, March 31, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the BWI Airport Marriott. For more information, or to purchase tickets, click here.
