Center Maryland continues its interviews with some of the finalists for Corridor Person of the Year. Today, we feature Wes Guckert, President of The Traffic Group Inc.

The Traffic Group, established in 1985, is a traffic engineering and transportation planning firm headquartered in White Marsh with offices in Delmarva and Virginia. The 65-person firm also has project offices in Arkansas, New York and Virginia. The company has contracts in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, New York and Arkansas. The company claims to be the largest provider of data collection and traffic monitoring services in the United States. Guckert has played a major role in more than 6,000 projects -- mostly in the mid-Atlantic region -- and has consulted on projects throughout the United States and abroad. The Traffic Group joined the U.S.Green Building Council in 2009.

In this interview, Guckert discusses the achievements of his company and his thoughts on the current state of Maryland's economy.
