Anne Arundel County Public Schools is finalizing a plan for supplies from the state to offer COVID-19 testing at school for teachers and students who have symptoms or who are asymptomatic with a known contact with a case. Once it starts testing, the school system will need to dispose of hazardous waste for the first time, Superintendent George Arlotto told the Board of Education during its meeting Wednesday. The county and state department of health need to sign off on the testing operation, and students who want to be tested will need permission from a guardian.
