Baltimore City Council bills aim to hold contractors accountable, help minority firms compete

A package of three bills related to improving Baltimore’s troubled procurement system will be introduced at a council meeting Monday night, according to a statement released by City Council President Nick Mosby. Mosby and Councilmen Kristerfer Burnett and Antonio Glover worked together to introduce the package, which aims to hold existing city contractors more accountable to complete projects on time and at budget, as well as create opportunities for minority- and women-owned businesses to be more competitive in the bid process.
