Comptroller announces more than 2 Million returns processed, warns of income tax scams

Despite the Maryland income tax filing deadline being pushed back to July 15, the state comptroller’s office in a news release said it has already processed more than 2 million returns. The state comptroller’s office also said 1.4 million taxpayers have received refunds totaling $1.4 billion. Federal income taxes are due May 17.
