More than 10,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered in the first week of operation at Hagerstown’s mass vaccination site, according to state officials. The appointment-only site, located in the old Wolf’s furniture store at the Hagerstown Premium Outlets, opened March 25. Maryland Department of Health spokesman Charlie Gischlar said in an email Friday that “operations have been going very well” at the site and as of Thursday, 10,234 people received a vaccination there. Gischlar said the site has the capacity to accommodate up to 2,000 appointments each day.
