Hogan’s moderates failed to see the need for action on climate change

Gov. Larry Hogan deserves credit for holding an infrastructure summit of moderates (The Capital, April 24). Their efforts to make a bipartisan counterproposal to President Joe Biden’s Recovery Plan also deserve credit. But they fail to understand what is clear to the rest of the world: there is an urgent need to address climate change. Time is running out. We need much more investment than just for roads, railways, ports and powerlines to put the country on a sustainable, prosperous footing for the 21st century, and we need it now!
