Lockheed Martin Corp. plans to close its manufacturing plant in Middle River, impacting 465 employees in Baltimore County. The Bethesda-based defense giant will “consolidate” operations in its rotary and missions systems business to “better align employees, technology and facilities to meet customer needs,” a spokeswoman said in a statement. The company will offer employees who work at the plant a chance to relocate or telework, according to WBAL-TV, which first reported the move.
