Maryland businesses hurt by Purple Line construction eligible for $2.5 million in aid

Businesses hurt by construction of the Purple Line are eligible for $2.5 million in financial aid allotted by the Maryland General Assembly over the next three fiscal years, a lawmaker said. As of July 1, $500,000 will be available via the state Department of Commerce, said Del. Jheanelle K. Wilkins (D-Montgomery). Another $1 million will be available in each of the next two fiscal years, both starting July 1, Wilkins said.
