Planned Park Place performing arts center rebrands to focus on diversity, inclusion in Annapolis art community

March 1, 2021

Organizers of a long-planned performing arts center in Annapolis have rebranded their efforts with a new mission statement focused on diversity and inclusion in the Annapolis arts community. The Maryland Cultural and Conference Center, formerly known as Maryland Theatre for the Performing Arts, is a proposed 1,200-seat theater and conference space that organizers have sought for years to build at Park Place, a mixed-use development. The project has been in the works since at least 2014.
