Port Of Baltimore Completes Dredging For New Container Ship Location

The Port of Baltimore completed dredging this week to create a second 50-foot deep container berth at the Seagirt Marine Terminal, a significant milestone in the completion of the highly anticipated project. A second deep berth will allow the port to accommodate two ultra-large container ships simultaneously by the end of this year. Combined with the upcoming expansion of the Howard Street Tunnel, officials expect the Port of Baltimore to soon experience booming growth.
