M&T Bank and Bank of America have done the most loans so far in the second round of the Paycheck Protection Program as the deadline for businesses to apply for the money quickly approaches. The U.S. Small Business Administration released new data about the Covid-19 relief program on March 8, providing the first state-by-state look at lending since the $284 billion second round began on Jan. 11. Previous, the agency had only provided loan and dollar totals for each state and information about the 15 lenders nationally in weekly reports.
