Happy #LovingDay! 54 years ago today, the Supreme Court struck down the laws in 16 states that banned interracial marriage. Eric and I will be celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary next month.
We need more public transportation options, expansion of MARC, and more teleworking, not a wider highway with crazy high tolls. #dontwiden270 #transitnottolls

Congrats @Senatornjk and @palakovichcarr on passing legislation to support low-income working families. Expanding the earned income credit ensures that hardworking individuals can pay rent and feed their families.
@SmPotatoes @SenRosapepe The local income tax rate varies by county, but is a flat rate in all cases, per current state law. In Montgomery and 11 other counties, the rate is 3.2% of your income.
@HighCleric @SenRosapepe The bill did pass the General Assembly with veto proof majorities.
Legislating is a team effort. A big thank you to the numerous advocates who helped get these bills across the finish line. And last but certainly not least, a shout out to Matt Harrington in my office for his invaluable research skills as we developed and worked these bills.
About 60% of the bills will become law without the Governor's signature, including 5 bills I sponsored. I'm grateful for the partnerships of @ClarenceLamMD, @shellyhettleman, and @SenatorMcCray on these bills.
The Governor signed <300 bills, including the Senate cross-files for two of my bills. @Sen_M_Augustine and I worked together to help college students experiencing a mental health crisis. @Senatornjk and I sponsored a bill to provide a tax credit for low-income families with kids.
