#FCFRD has been getting reports of a burning smell and haze throughout @fairfaxcounty. According to @NWS a wind shift has caused smoke from the NC wildfires to migrate widely. Low wind speeds in our area prevent the odor and haze from dispersing. @FairfaxCountyPD #weather

Make no mistake—Norfolk Southern claims they’re taking steps to make trains safer, but the industry’s been lobbying against those changes for decades.

@AbernathyAliceA This is very kind. Thanks for all you do!
@EPICofMoCo @SenatorATW I’d love to, but definitely don’t need to. Individual tenants in those buildings can already sue under current law to force habitable housing. Under the bill, they could sue as a group.
@EPICofMoCo @SenatorATW I don't know why they wouldn't be able to use the rent escrow statute.
@SenatorATW I want to thank @rentersuniteMD and all of the advocacy groups who have been relentlessly fighting for this bill.
Also, major, major credit to @SpeakerAJones, Chair @KumarBarve, and Subcommittee Chair @MarvinEHolmesJr for their steadfast support.
On to the Senate!
