Tune into WPGC 95.5 at 4:30pm and this evening's ABC 7 news as I will be discussing the lack of fairness and equity in distributing the COVID-19 vaccine in Maryland.
Not to keep picking on Talbot Co., but Talbot's pop. is 37,181 or 4.1% of our size, and yet Talbot and other similarly small/less virus-hard hit MD counties are guaranteed 300 doses per week, approx. 31% of the vaccine doses that Pr. George's is guaranteed. This is ridiculous.
To put a fine point on it, currently, Prince George's County, with a census estimated population of 909,327, is only guaranteed 975 new COVID-19 vaccine doses a week from the State of Maryland.

This is manifestly unfair @GovLarryHogan: "Because the state gives even sparsely populated counties at least 300 weekly doses, Talbot has received 16 doses per 1,000 residents ... while Prince George’s got nine doses per 1,000 residents." https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/prince-georges-talbot-vaccines-maryland/2021/02/06/ff5c940e-64a0-11eb-886d-5264d4ceb46d_story.html @washingtonpost
