Successful hospital-based violence intervention and prevention programs – like the one through UMMS Shock Trauma Center – have demonstrated effectiveness in reducing violence. They have been chronically underfunded, which we intend to change.

Just this week, I was proud to introduce the Senate version of the Bipartisan Solutions to Cyclical Violence Act (@Call_Me_Dutch) to increase federal resources for hospital-based violence intervention programs.
