Maryland once again ranked in the middle of the pack on CNBC’s new Top States for Business ranking released Tuesday, but improved compared to last year. The Old Line State came in at No. 22, up five spots from the year prior. Maryland has traditionally placed in the middle of CNBC’s annual ranking but did rank as high as No. 12 in 2021, when it also took the title of most improved state.
