Adventist HealthCare still wants to acquire Howard hospital. It could happen soon.

Gaithersburg’s Adventist HealthCare could wrap up its deal to acquire D.C.’s Howard University Hospital in 2024. That’s what Adventist’s outgoing CEO, Terry Forde, told me Wednesday, confirming the Gaithersburg nonprofit’s intention to buy the academic teaching hospital it’s been running since early 2020, which he called “a very valuable institution.”
