Six candidates vying for one of Maryland’s two seats in the U.S. Senate attended a forum hosted by the Frederick County Conservative Club at the Frederick Elks Lodge on Monday. Republicans Moe Barakat, Robin Ficker, Lorie Friend, John Myrick and Laban Seyoum participated in the forum along with Democrat Marcellus Crews. All of the candidates are seeking their respective parties’ nominations for the seat held since 2007 by U.S. Sen. Ben Cardin, who plans to retire at the end of his current term.
