Apple has jumped into the race to bring generative artificial intelligence to the masses, spotlighting a slew of features Monday designed to soup up the iPhone, iPad and Mac. And in a move befitting a company known for its marketing prowess, the AI technology coming as part of free software updates later this year is being billed as “Apple Intelligence.”

An aging medical center that’s part of a larger development opportunity site in Silver Spring has changed hands. Avison Young announced June 6 the sale of Doctors Medical Park, about 98,000 square feet of 1980s-era, low-rise medical office buildings at 10301 Georgia Ave., for $15.25 million. The property includes two main buildings and a smaller one in between, plus parking lots on 4.8 acres about three-quarters of a mile north of the Red Line’s Forest Glen Metro station.

Maryland’s substantial government procurement economy comprises 18% of its gross domestic product and is primed to grow, but Maryland-based businesses aren’t benefiting enough, according to a Drexel University study released Thursday. Fells Point coffee shop Daily Grind is opening its ninth location at Baltimore Peninsula in South Baltimore. Daily Grind will open in the new 2455 House Street building, which is also home to the CFG Bank headquarters. Daily Grind was founded in 1991 in Fells Point and roasts its coffee in Little Italy. It has locations at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins University, Saint Joseph Hospital, Greenspring Station, and University of Maryland BioPark.
