“You, the 91st, you’ve been chosen in this moment, for this moment. This is your moment,” Awad continued, praising the new officers for answering “the call to serve.” Congratulations to the 91st Academy Class. Thank you for your service. https://www.capitalgazette.com/politics/ac-cn-anne-arundel-police-academy-graduation-20210429-bxuyrvqkcjdurfc4ha2rakqdmu-story.html
Attended a presentation today honoring four officers assigned to @AACOPD Eastern District for their community engagement efforts in Glen Burnie. @allison_pickard presented the officers with a citation from the County Council honoring their efforts. #community
Your District 2 County Council Team is fully Vaccinated! Ms. Etzel and I had very good experiences navigating the Mass Vaccination site at M&T Bank Stadium. Woohoo! Just in time for Spring/Summer Community events.
For info. about where to go:
Another week of D2 Council work: Assisted Living Legislation, Plan2040, FY22 Budget, Police Reform, BWI Flight patterns, Park renovations, GB revitalization, Planning for community events, Severn Improv. Assoc., school construction..it is my pleasure and honor to serve.
@Kipke But Safe needle exchange is okay? Mr. Schuh at MD OOCC is pushing these initiatives....is it good public policy or an opportunity to slam local health officials for political gain? Harm Reduction just stepped front and center into policy debate this week....I will do my homework.
@Kipke Safe needle kits/ safe smoking kits are an initiative from the MD OOCC. Harm reduction forces us to stretch our minds & policy re: tackling drug addiction and reducing HIV/HEP C transmission. if someone injects or smokes drugs, reducing HIV/ HEP C is the goal. What do you think?
@Kipke Good to know you are open to a public dialogue. I can now see my comment on your earlier tweet. It was not visible before. As elected officials, we have a responsibility to the constituents we represent.
Vaccination Clinics are coming to a House of Worship near you. To register call (410)204-4594 or email email@example.com
Social media has its pluses and minuses for sure. One of harmful aspects is when we create our own echo chambers by limiting who can see/comment on our posts....Elected Officials doing that cuts off dialogue and debate of public policy issues. Thanks for the block. @kipke
