Today I am wearing mismatched socks in honor of #WorldDownSyndromeDay. ~1/700 babies in the US is born with Down Syndrome. I am proud to support the MDSA’s legislative agenda. All children born with Down Syndrome deserve high-quality education and opportunities.
HB629 allows surviving spouses of service members who died as a result of their military service to qualify for the Conroy Scholarship. We’re fulfilling our promise to these surviving spouses who have sacrificed so much.

Today, my first bill passed the House! HB 694 would authorize a licensed certified social worker-clinical to register as a rehabilitation practitioner and perform specified services for workers' compensation purposes. #mdga23
On a busy day, there is nothing more refreshing than getting to meet with young leaders. Thank you to the SMASC Exec. Board and their advisor, Mr. Wright, for all they do to advocate for students in SMCPS and MD. The future is bright if it has these young folks at the helm!
This morning, my colleagues in the House passed HB164. This bill works to protect children who have been sexually abused by their caretakers and adds preventions so this abuse does not happen again.

Happy International Women’s Day! Today, I am grateful for all the strong, intelligent women in my life, and I’m sending out a special wish for my baby daughter, Penny, that the world continues to work toward true equity for women.
