In celebration of #ReadAcrossAmericaDay, Sesame Street's icon, Elmo, visited the State House to meet with Members of the Maryland General Assembly and help collect books for students. In partnership with .@MSEAeducators, the books will be distributed to underserved students.
.@StPhilipNeriSch Eighth Graders visited Annapolis to be part of democracy in action. During their visit, the students shared their academic experiences and ways they serve the Linthicum and Northern Anne Arundel County communities.
Global tennis superstar, .@FTiafoe, visited Maryland's State House and was honored for his historic contributions to the sport. The tennis great is the first African-American man to reach the semifinals of @usopen since Arthur Ashe in 1972.
