Maryland is one of only 12 States that have a Triple-A bond rating from all three agencies. This means that Maryland receives better interest rates and more flexible terms in our debt management than most States, saving Maryland taxpayers millions of dollars each year
This week, Maryland once again recieved a Triple-A bond rating, affirmed by all three rating agencies in anticipation of the State’s General Obligation bond sale on February 24, 2021, recognizing the State’s prudent responses to the fiscal effects of the pandemic.
