Lawrence Joseph Hogan Jr. is an American politician. A member of the Republican Party, he has served as the 62nd Governor of Maryland since 2015. Hogan ran unsuccessful campaigns for Maryland’s 5th congressional district in 1981 and 1992, the latter of which was incumbent Steny Hoyer’s closest race.
The B&P Tunnel connects Baltimore Penn Station to DC and Virginia, but is currently a major bottleneck causing chronic delays for Amtrak and MARC train passengers. I’m thrilled to be moving forward in our partnership with @Amtrak to finally replace this 148-year-old tunnel.
Today we broke ground on a transformative project to modernize Penn Station in Baltimore. This project will not only preserve the history of Penn Station—it will also continue to advance our efforts for the recovery, growth, and revitalization of the city.
This morning we officially cut the ribbon on the beautiful new Calvin and Tina Tyler Hall Student Services Building at Morgan State University. The State of Maryland is so proud of @MorganStateU, and now this state-of-the-art facility will serve as the gateway to Morgan's campus.
I’m in Baltimore for the groundbreaking of the Baltimore Penn Station redevelopment project.

While the Citizens Commission has already published draft maps and held dozens of public meetings, the legislature’s backroom partisan process is run by career politicians, has released no draft maps, and has no map portal for citizen input.
