Lawrence Joseph Hogan Jr. is an American politician. A member of the Republican Party, he has served as the 62nd Governor of Maryland since 2015. Hogan ran unsuccessful campaigns for Maryland’s 5th congressional district in 1981 and 1992, the latter of which was incumbent Steny Hoyer’s closest race.

Maryland is on the verge of 1.5 million vaccinations, and our vaccination rate is better than 35 other states. But just as important as making sure shots get into arms quickly is that we work each and every day to ensure fair and equitable access.
The Maryland Vaccine Equity Task Force has already facilitated several successful community vaccination clinics, with plans to establish a large-scale site at First Baptist Church in Glenarden and bring mobile vaccination clinics to Western Maryland and the Eastern Shore.
This first-of-its kind tactical operations plan provides a detailed framework for the creation of community vaccination sites. It begins with the community proposal submission process and encompasses assessment, resource allocation, and operational support.

Maryland providers have administered 1,436,396 total doses of COVID-19 vaccines, and 97.4% of all first doses received from the federal government. The state is averaging 35,513 shots per day.
