“Right now, Baltimore City is in 22nd place out of the 24 jurisdictions in the State of Maryland in percentage of population vaccinated,” said Schleifer. “So the vaccines are simply not making it to the citizens of Baltimore.”
If it seems vaccines have been scarce for seniors here in Baltimore, City Councilman Isaac “Yitzy” Schleifer says there’s a good reason for it. https://www.wmar2news.com/vaccinatingmd/vanishing-vaccines-in-baltimore
Have a joyous, safe Purim! This holiday reminds us to use our strengths to secure a bright and positive future. May this season bring blessings, health and good fortune.
@UMMC needs to make sure (after confirming eligibility) that each and every appointment that was canceled gets the first available appointments when they open.
Thousands of Marylanders thought they had secured the elusive coronavirus vaccine. Then, UMMS emailed and cancelled their appointments and said the vaccine registration link was "inadvertently" shared. https://www.baltimoresun.com/coronavirus/bs-md-ravens-stadium-vaccine-issues-20210222-7gsmv54cajhcjbxl533zeek36u-story.html

@Christi69966963 @jemillerwbal Baltimore city is the only one I know of that canceled appointments and didn’t reschedule them for a later date. MDH didn’t cancel those appointments and refuse to reschedule them. BCHD did.
@Christi69966963 @jemillerwbal I’ve called out the issues from the state for over a month now. The states failures are no excuse for the City health department to cancel appointments for the 2nd time in a month, at the same time giving vaccines they have on hand to 3rd parties that have no controls in place.
Listen for my live reports from @BaltCityHall on @wbalradio #WBAL this morning with @C4Show & @BryanNehman as @CouncilmanYitzy is calling what’s going-on right now with vaccinations in the city as a “botched rollout”. Hear what both he and the city health commissioner are saying
