Anybody else have jury duty tomorrow?
If NIMBY’s ever came with anything but vibes that’d be wild.
Happy Monday.

@CMEvanGlass That’s twice ours😩
Banning plastic bags was an evidence-based response to pollution. Are there still plastic bags floating around the city, especially on windy nights? Yes. Do we face bigger problems? Yes. Are any of those good reasons to not ban plastic? No.
“A gasoline-powered leaf blower spews out more pollution than a 6,200-pound Ford F-150 SVT Raptor pickup” and “emissions from a half-hour of yard work with the two-stroke leaf blower are about the same as a 3,900-mile drive from Texas to Alaska” https://www.nytimes.com/2021/10/25/opinion/leaf-blowers-california-emissions.html
@quinyardo You see what you want to see, I guess. If there are 2400 miles of lanes for cars and less than 24 miles of separated bike lanes and all you see is bike lanes…🤷♂️
@Realbanthaskull @CarolSOtt From @ElectRyanDorsey's policy briefer on Complete Streets:
"If the
Baltimore City households owning cars could all reduce to become one-car households, the total amount of new discretionary income freed up (based on the average cost reported by AAA)
would be $855,126,811."
