So much fun at the Spalding Gala! The funds from this Gala will be used to update the classrooms. The classrooms are same as they were when the school opened in the late 60’s when I was a student at Spalding.
Tomorrow is Maryland Day! A time to honor and celebrate our wonderful state, enjoy our wonderful cities, parks, natural resources, culture, food and drink, or enjoy one the many great events - many of which can be found on my page here - http://ow.ly/K2Vp50NriqP
Today, the Senate honored two of our esteemed former colleagues with the prestigious First Citizen Award. Senators Addie Eckardt and Paul Pinsky served the people of Maryland for decades. They have been architects of transformative legislation and are respected leaders in MD.

SB 552, introduced by @GovWesMoore, expands economic opportunity by increasing the Earned Income and Child Tax Credits, following similar action taken by the MGA in 2021. The Family Prosperity Act has passed third reading in the Senate and will go to the House for consideration.
Maryland Senate Dems and @GovWesMoore firmly believe in supporting our State's most vulnerable children and working families. That’s why we're advancing SB 552, the Family Prosperity Act, to increase the earned income and child tax credits and expand economic opportunity.
Happy Crossover Day from the Senate of Maryland! Today is the deadline for bills from either chamber to “cross over” from the Senate to the House or House to the Senate and be considered for passage.
Sen. @shellyhettleman’s SB 786 secures patient and provider health care data, ensuring privacy when accessing reproductive care services. This bill has passed third reading in the Senate and will now move to the House for consideration.
The District 32 Senatorial Scholarship deadline is quickly approaching! Mail your application to my office by April 7th.
Today, policies that will shape the future lives of Marylanders crossover from one chamber to the other. For legislators whose bills didn’t make it through, never give up.
I had a tremendous mentor, @JPenaMelnyk, who taught me that there are many ways to crossover. 😉 #grateful
